TIL that over 60% of anime fans skip the OP on their first watch of a series

I saw this stat from a Crunchyroll survey posted on their blog last week and it blew my mind. I always thought everyone watched the intro at least once, but apparently most people just want to get straight to the episode. Am I the weird one for letting the OP play every time?
