Haven't you tried just googling which episodes are actually important before skipping? I usually check a fan wiki for recap episode guides, they tell you exactly which ones have new scenes or story hints you can't miss. Saves a ton of time and you still get the full experience without sitting through twenty minutes of stuff you already watched.

Maybe it's just me but I read somewhere that skipping recap episodes actually makes the pacing worse because you miss little character moments. There was this whole breakdown on a podcast I caught last week about how recaps in anime often have tiny bits of new animation or voice lines that hint at future plot points. Just a thought, but sometimes those filler recaps are worth sitting through if you're deep into the story.
