Went back to a 2015 anime night thread, the difference is scary

Found a rewatch thread for an anime I loved in 2015, people were arguing about fansubs and DVD menus. Now those same threads are full of people asking what site to pirate from and AI-generated summaries. What happened to just talking about the episodes themselves?
