Sounds about right for my luck with online purchases. Should have just used a big straw.

Yeah the big straw idea, @faith_thomas. Reminds me of the time I tried to drink a smoothie through one of those tiny coffee stirrers. Just a bad plan from the start.

Oh boy, that really is the kind of thing that sticks with you. It's funny because I bet @faith_thomas didn't even want a big straw for the reason most people do - it was probably for a specific bottle or cup that just wouldn't work with anything normal. I've noticed that these product flops usually come from someone trying to solve a very particular problem that nobody else has thought through. Like when I bought those "universal" jar openers that only work on exactly zero jars in my kitchen. The big straw seems like it would be great for thick milkshakes but then you realize it just makes you drink faster and get a brain freeze instead.
