Had a homeowner argue with me about a dead ash tree for 20 minutes
I was doing a tree assessment in Wichita last month and this guy kept insisting his ash was fine because it still had green leaves on one branch. I showed him the bark peeling and the woodpecker holes all over the trunk, but he just said I was trying to upsell him. He literally told me "I've had this tree for 30 years and it's never let me down." Has anyone else dealt with a client who refused to believe their tree was dangerous until it fell on something?

Isn't it wild how people get so attached to a tree they can't see the danger right in front of them? I feel for you, that's a frustrating situation for sure.

Read something about this online. Trees can look alive when they're basically already dead inside. Took a tree falling on my neighbor's shed to convince him.
