My maple tree is wrecking my driveway, need advice

I have a large maple tree planted close to my driveway. The pavement is starting to crack and lift in several spots. How should I handle this to protect both the tree and my driveway?

Honestly, you'll probably have to choose between the tree and the pavement.

Yeah just had this exact issue last year. Ended up trimming the branches back a good bit so the sidewalk stayed clear. Calling an arborist helped figure out how much we could cut safely lol.
