That $500 tree support system I installed last fall just snapped in half today
Spent 500 bucks on a fancy cabling and bracing kit for a split oak, and it broke clean in two during a light breeze this morning, so has anyone else had a supplier sell them junk hardware that failed way too soon?

My uncle bought a $200 rope ratchet system for his maple and it snapped the first gust of wind. Called the company and they said it was "user error" for not pre-stretching the rope.

Switched to 1/2 inch braided rope for my trees, night and day difference.
