Worst week of my arborist career was last May on a single job

I got called to trim a big red oak in Brookline, supposed to be a 2 day job. First day went fine, got the deadwood out no problem. Day 2 I was up in the bucket and my chainsaw chain snapped clean off. Had to borrow a spare from the homeowner, which felt embarrassing. Then a storm rolled in out of nowhere, lightning struck a tree 50 feet away, scared me so bad I nearly dropped my saw. Took me 12 hours total just to finish a 8 hour job. Has anyone else had a job go completely sideways like that?

Wait you borrowed a homeowners chainsaw mid job? Thats like rule #1 of tree work never touch client gear.
