Can we talk about how nobody reads the full question before answering?

Last Tuesday on a different forum someone asked for help with a 2005 Honda Civic and three people gave advice for a 2018 Accord before I realized I do the same thing when I skim posts, so do you catch yourself answering half a question too?

Guilty as charged, I do that all the time. It’s like my brain sees a car problem and jumps straight to the first fix I know, without checking the year or the details. That Honda Civic thing is painfully familiar, I’ve totally given advice for the wrong model before and only realized it when someone politely called me out. The worst part is when you skim fast and feel so sure you got it right, then you re-read and see the whole point sitting right there. Solidarity though, it’s a real thing and we all do it way more than we’d like to admit.
