Found a trick for keeping my car windows from fogging up this winter

I used to crank the defroster on full blast for 15 minutes every morning before driving to my shop in Buffalo. Then a customer told me to just crack a window an inch while running the heat on low, and it cleared the fog in under 2 minutes. Has anyone else found a weird trick like that that actually works better than the standard fix?

Wonder if this is really that big of a deal for most people. I just wipe the inside of my windows with a microfiber cloth once a week and I never have fog issues. Seems like cracking a window in January in Buffalo would just freeze you out instead.

Cracking the window works way better than blasting the defroster, your customer was right.
