Got banned from a local arcade for asking too many questions, now I read the manual first

Last Saturday at Barrel Roll Arcade in Tampa, I kept asking the staff how they fixed the old pinball machines, like what part they used or why they adjusted the flippers that way. The manager finally said "you're here to play, not interview us" and told me to leave after my third visit that week. I get it now, they probably thought I was casing the place or something, but I just genuinely wanted to learn repair basics. Has anyone else gotten shut down for being curious at a spot they love, and do you just stay quiet or find another way to ask?
