Just changed my mind about rooftop solar after visiting my cousin's house near Phoenix
I always thought rooftop solar was just for rich people saving the planet. But my cousin put in a 6.2 kW system last year and her electric bill went from $280 a month to $45 in the summer. She showed me the paperwork and I saw the math myself. She did a 10 year loan and the payments are less than what she used to pay the power company. Has anyone else had a similar experience with solar actually making financial sense in a normal neighborhood?

So once it's paid off, what happens, does the sun come collect its panels? You get free power from a thing you already bought, that's the whole point.
