Serious question, why do people keep saying their air fryer is better than a regular oven

I was at a cookout last Saturday at my friend Dave's place in Portland and his chicken wings came out dry as dirt. He swore his air fryer was the future but I watched him cram 20 wings in there at once and they barely cooked through the middle. Anyone else notice these things just don't handle big batches well?

My buddy Tim burnt his hand so bad on his air fryer he missed a whole week of work.

Wait, was it actually that bad or did Tim just milk it for a week off? @rivera.henry, I've seen people overreact to a tiny burn and call it "severe" but really it was just a little red spot.
