Tried to cut a corner at work and it backfired hard

I was at my desk last Thursday trying to fast-track a client's request without double-checking the data set first. Turned out I missed a key number and had to redo three hours of work in front of my manager. Anyone else ever rush something and just make it worse?

Eh tbh that sounds more like a minor setback than a disaster. Three hours of rework isn't the end of the world, you just learned a lesson the hard way.

Hmm, I dunno if it's just three hours though, because if you lose work you gotta redo everything from scratch and that usually takes way longer than you think. Plus it messes up your whole workflow for the rest of the day.
