Was told my workshop notes were useless until I added sketches
A friend looked at my setup notes and said they read like a parts list with no context, so I started drawing rough diagrams next to each step. Now I can actually hand off the notes to someone else and they finish the job right. Anyone else get blind to their own writing until someone points it out?

Did you figure out on your own that you needed the sketches, or did you just get too used to how your brain filled in the gaps? I'm curious how long you'd been writing notes like that before your friend called it out.
