Why does nobody talk about how many questions get deleted before they're even seen?

I was looking at some old forum data from a site I used to help run... turns out over 60% of questions in 'ask anything' spaces get removed by auto-mods or moderators before anyone answers. Found this in a backend report from 2023. Most get flagged for being too vague or breaking simple rules. It means a lot of people trying to ask stuff just get a dead end. Has anyone else run into this, where your post just vanishes? What's the best way to actually get a question through?

Wow, no wonder my posts keep disappearing into the VOID. The auto-mod is hungrier than I am after skipping breakfast.

Hungrier than me after skipping breakfast" is too real. A buddy of mine had a post about his cat's weird sleeping positions get flagged three times in one day. The auto-mod just couldn't resist munching on that one.

That 60% cleanup keeps forums from drowning in junk.
