Funny how the tools pitch themselves as saving time but really they just add layers between you and the actual conversation. The manual grind forces you to read the room, which is probably the whole game anyway.

Honestly, "reading the room" is exactly it. I feel that so hard, @sagea88. Tbh, the manual way forces you to pick up on the little things, like when someone is actually done talking or when a joke landed wrong. The tools just give you a green light to fire off a canned line, and then you're lost when the other person goes off script. It's like they make you lazy about the part that actually matters, the human part. Ngl, I'd rather stumble through a real back and forth than have a bot pretend to know the vibe.
