Serious question: is spending $5k on a cold email tool actually worth it?
I dumped money into Outreach last quarter and it seemed to double our replies, but my buddy swears by free Gmail hacks and says I just wasted a stack. Who's had a cold email tool really pay off for them here?

I read a case study where a startup used Mailshake and saw a 40% bump in meetings booked, but only after they fixed their email copy first. The tool itself just made it easier to test subject lines and follow-ups, not magically fix bad messaging. So if your offer is weak, $5k is probably a waste, but if you've got a solid pitch, it can speed up the results.

Oh great, another "spend money to make money" trap that sounds like a solid plan until your inbox looks like a desperate Tinder spamming session.

Read a piece in a marketing newsletter that said most cold email campaigns fail because the offer looks like generic junk, not because of the tool. The 40% bump Nina mentioned makes sense if the copy was already good, because then the tool just removed friction. @hart.ryan is right that throwing money at outreach without fixing the pitch first is just paying for a faster way to annoy people.
