Switched from cold emails to handwritten notes for my B2B outreach 6 months ago and the reply rate went from 2% to nearly 18%

I was getting ignored by like 50 prospects a day with automated sequences, then I spent a Sunday scribbling 20 notes to SaaS founders in Austin and three of them actually called me back the same week, has anyone else tried something this low-tech and seen it work?

Nailed it on the head - nobody gets real mail anymore except bills and junk, so I guess my scribbly handwriting looks like a unicorn in their mailbox.

Wait, 18% from 2% just by writing notes? That's crazy, like actually bonkers. I've been doing cold emails for a year and my best campaign barely hit 5% so this makes me wonder if I'm just totally overthinking everything. Did you send them all through regular mail or did you drop them off somewhere? I imagine the personal touch just breaks through all the noise since nobody gets physical mail anymore especially from strangers.
