Tried HubSpot's free CRM against Zoho for 6 months straight

I ran both side by side for my small B2B team in Phoenix, and HubSpot's lead tracking was way more accurate but Zoho saved us about $200 a month on automation tools. The real kicker was HubSpot's contact history actually helped us close 3 deals we would have lost otherwise. Has anyone else found that free tools cost you more in lost time and missed opportunities?

...so I actually did something similar last year with my own setup and it kind of backfired on me. I tried juggling like three free CRMs at once to save money and ended up losing track of a big lead because I forgot which system had the notes. That's the thing about free tools, they lure you in with no cost but then you're stuck paying with your own time and frustration. I figure HubSpot's saved deals probably paid for any difference in price, even if it stings the wallet a bit. You think most people just stick with one free tool and learn to live with its flaws instead of testing both?

Do you think the real issue is people just get decision fatigue and give up, so they pick whatever looks easiest in the moment? Like they test two tools, get frustrated, and just go with the one that has the least setup hassle regardless of the flaws.
