Automation tool trial that flipped my onboarding process
I ran a 3-person recruiting agency in Tampa and always did client onboarding manually. Took me 4 hours per client, mostly chasing forms. Tried a cheap workflow software for $29 a month last month. Set up one template with auto-reminders and document requests. Cut that time down to 40 minutes on the third client. Has anyone else switched to a tool they thought was too basic? What did you use before?

Used to tell myself automation was for big companies with IT budgets, not a three-person shop like mine. Figured $29 a month software would be junk or too limited to matter. Then I wired up a simple form that collected everything in one spot and the reminders did the nagging for me. The kicker was watching a client fill out their paperwork at 9pm on a Sunday, no email chain needed from my end. That single template alone paid for the subscription in saved hours. Now I'm annoyed I waited so long to try something so basic.
