I thought paying for a G2 badge was a waste of $1,200 until our renewal call went sideways
We bought a G2 badge for our project tool about a year back and I figured it was just vanity stuff for the sales team. Then in March our biggest client brought a competitor into the mix, and their whole pitch was they had 4.6 stars on G2 while we weren't even listed. Our rep pulled up our badge page on the call and that one screen flipped the room in about 5 minutes. I'm not saying the badge won the deal, but I stopped calling it a waste after that. Anyone else had a review site actually show up in a deal like that?
Learned the same lesson with online reviews for my dentist, people trust those little stars way more than any pitch. It's funny how a third party saying you're good hits harder than you saying it yourself.
