Walked into a client's office in Austin and saw their CRM was a total mess

I was at a small construction supply company yesterday fixing a clogged sink in their break room, and I couldn't help but notice their sales guy flipping through six different spreadsheets to find a customer order. Has anyone else dealt with B2B clients who refuse to upgrade from paper or basic Excel even when it's clearly hurting them?

Buddy of mine does IT for a real estate office here in San Antonio, walked into a client's place and found their "CRM" was literally a stack of index cards in a shoebox. They bragged about how it never crashed on them. He spent three hours digitizing everything while they stood there watching like he was performing brain surgery.

Six spreadsheets for one order, that's like having a toolbox with nothing but 16 different sizes of wrenches and no hammer lmao. I swear half of these Austin companies are still running on faith and sticky notes from 2005. The worst part is when they defend it like "Excel works fine for us" while you watch them scroll for ten minutes to find last month's invoice. You'd think a construction supply company would understand that organizing your stuff makes things not fall apart, but I guess that logic only applies to lumber and drywall.
