Why does nobody talk about how slow customer support portals actually process refunds?

I was stuck in a callback loop with a software vendor for two weeks over a duplicate invoice charge. Finally got a real person on day 9 after I threatened to dispute it with my bank. Anyone else find that escalating to chargebacks is the only thing that gets B2B support moving?

Yeah the "threaten a chargeback" trick is honestly the only thing that moves the needle anymore. I've been through this with a couple vendors and once you drop that line suddenly the "escalation team" finds your ticket real quick. Last time I just told them straight up I was calling my bank that afternoon if they didn't have a refund number by noon. Got a refund slip in like 3 hours. It's dumb that you have to go full nuclear just to get basic stuff done but that's how it works now. Also helps to have every invoice number and date written down before you call so you can rattle them off without pausing. They bank on you giving up.
