Found out my little balcony setup is older than I thought

Honestly, I was digging through some old photos from 2018 and realized I've been growing cherry tomatoes on the same 3 foot shelf for 7 years now. I checked the tag on the metal frame and it's a Gardener's Supply model that they stopped making back in 2016. I had no idea it was that vintage, but it still holds up fine after all that rain and sun. Anyone else still using gear that's way older than they expected?

You ever have a friend who refuses to throw anything away? My buddy Dave has been using the same plastic watering can since like 2009. The handle is held on with duct tape and there's a crack in the spout that he patched with some old gum. He swears it works better than any new one he could buy. I went over to his place last summer and watched him water his peppers with it and honestly, the thing still puts out a perfect gentle stream. He says he'll die before he replaces it. I guess some stuff just gets better with age even if it looks like a total wreck.

Oh man, that reminds me of my uncle and his coffee maker from the 90s. The thing makes a weird noise and the carafe is held together with electrical tape but he swears no new machine makes coffee that good. I tried a cup once and honestly it was pretty good, maybe he's onto something.
