My tomato plants went from sad sticks to jungle in 10 days

I left for a weeklong trip and came back to what looked like a miniature rainforest on my 4x6 balcony. Turns out the neighbor kid was watering them with leftover fish tank water every day, and those things EXPLODED. Has anyone else had a accidental growth spurt from weird water sources?
