Warning: My $40 'self-watering' pot almost killed my pepper plants
The built-in reservoir kept the soil way too wet for weeks, which caused root rot until I finally checked it with a moisture meter (a lesson I learned the hard way). Anyone have a good pot brand that actually works for peppers on a hot balcony?

Yeah but what exactly makes them so hard to get right... like is it the setup or just getting them to work after you've put it all together. I've spent hours on what should be a simple fix.
