Honestly, I'm still mad about that $80 'competition-grade' injection marinade kit

Tbh, I followed the instructions exactly on a pork butt last month and it just made the meat weirdly salty and wet. Has anyone else had a bad experience with these pre-made injection mixes, or should I just stick to my basic brine?
