Our book club fell apart over a single character's hair color
Last month my book club got into a heated debate about whether the main character in 'The Night Circus' had black hair or brown hair. Three members swore it was black, two insisted it was brown, and we spent 45 minutes flipping through chapters looking for proof. We never found a clear description, so now nobody can agree on anything we read. Has anyone else had a book club argument over a tiny detail that derailed the whole discussion?

Bet @finley_lopez98 brought it up - you KNOW they were the one who started flipping pages in the first place. I bet somebody just misread "raven" and the whole thing snowballed into a book club civil war.

Why waste 45 minutes on hair color when you could just pick a side and move on to something that actually matters?

Forty five minutes flipping through chapters over hair color? That's wild, I would have walked out after ten. The whole point of a book club is to talk about themes and characters, not argue about something the author probably left vague on purpose. Did nobody bring snacks to break the tension, or was everyone too busy playing detective?
