...but did anyone actually finish the book before that came up? Because I've been in two book clubs where someone skimmed the map and then argued for twenty minutes about whether the author was lying or just bad at geography. It always feels like the person who didn't do the reading wants to be the hero detective. I'm curious though, was it the whole timeline that fell apart or just one specific part that they couldn't agree on? Sometimes people get hung up on a single detail and miss the bigger picture of what made the story work. What was the book anyway?
