Warning: that $30 book club guide turned out to be a total scam
I dropped 30 bucks on a 'comprehensive book club debate guide' from some random site last month. It promised debate topics for like 50 popular novels but when I opened it, half the entries were just one sentence like 'discuss the main character's choices.' I tried using it for our October meeting on The Great Gatsby and my group got bored five minutes in. Has anyone else paid for one of those prepackaged guides and regretted it?

Right, "comprehensive" - one sentence per book, what a steal. Guess they saved all the real debate topics for the $60 version.
