Just realized the coffee shop on Main St has a secret menu item that actually tastes good

I kept getting the same boring latte at Grounds & Hounds for two years. Everyone raves about their vanilla bean, but I think it tastes like syrup. One day the barista said "try the maple cardamom latte, it's not on the board." I gave it a shot last Tuesday and it's way better than anything listed. The cardamom cuts the sweet, and it's only $4.50. Has anyone else found hidden drinks around Bothell that beat the regular menu?

Wait, are you sure it's only $4.50? I went last Thursday and they charged me $5.25 for the maple cardamom. Maybe the price depends on the milk you pick? I asked for oat milk so that could be why. Anyway, I totally agree that the regular menu is mostly just fancy sugar bombs. The cardamom gives it this warm, spicy kick that doesn't overwhelm the coffee taste. Have you tried the lavender honey latte at the little bakery on 2nd Street? It's not secret, but it's way more balanced than anything Grounds pushes.

They probably add a milk upcharge at Grounds too @the_jennifer, oat milk always costs extra lol.
