Just realized the old downtown theater has a bigger history than I thought
I was reading the plaque outside the vintage theater on Main Street while waiting for my bus, and it said the building hosted a silent film premiere back in 1924. That got me curious so I looked up the city archives online, turns out it survived a fire in 1958 and was almost torn down twice. Has anyone else dug into the history of places like that around here?

Honestly sounds like every old building has some plaque drama if you stare at it long enough. A fire and some close calls, that's pretty standard for anything from that era, right?
