My shop vac died mid-groom on a matted golden retriever last Saturday
I was in the back room of my little shop on Main Street, halfway through drying a golden that came in looking like a dust mop. The vac just made this awful grinding noise and stopped. No backup either because I loaned my spare to my brother last month. Had to finish the whole dog with a regular hair dryer and a comb. Took me an extra 45 minutes and I was dripping sweat by the end. The owner picked him up and said he looked great, which was a relief. Anyone else have a tool fail at the worst possible moment?

Not gonna lie, you probably could've just towel dried faster.

Yeah that happens. Keep a spare motor on hand if your shop vac takes standard ones.
