Paid $250 for a pressure washing guy who just sprayed my driveway with water

Ngl I thought I was being smart hiring a cheap pressure washing guy off Nextdoor for my driveway last month. He showed up with a tiny electric washer and just blasted the surface for 20 minutes without any cleaner or scrubbing. The mildew was still there after he left and I ended up having to buy a $60 surface cleaner and do it myself. Has anyone else dealt with sketchy yard service people around here?

Respectfully, I think you got what you paid for. $250 for a pressure washing job is suspiciously low, especially if they didn't even bring their own chemicals or a decent machine. I've had good luck with the guys on Nextdoor who charge closer to $400 and actually show you their setup before they start. Maybe ask for proof of their equipment next time, or at least a guarantee in writing that they'll use a cleaner.
