Rant: The rain gutter cleaning service I almost dismissed as a scam

I was skeptical when a company called Gutter Kings showed up on my street last fall offering a fall tune up for $80. They said they'd clear all my downspouts and check for blockages, which sounded too simple. But after 3 years of me doing it myself with a ladder and a scoop, my gutters never drained as fast as they did after their visit. They even found a crushed section of pipe I'd missed near the back corner. The guy showed me a photo on his phone of a nest of leaves that was wider than my arm. I'm just wondering if anyone else in Bothell has tried them or found a similar service that actually does what they promise.

Did they actually seal up the crushed pipe or just point it out to you? I've had gutter guys try to upsell me on repairs that weren't really needed before.

Hear that, @the_hugo, since they were upfront about the crushed pipe without pushing a repair, I'd trust them more than most, but I'd still get a second quote before letting anyone touch it. The fact they found something real beats the usual "you need new gutters" sales pitch.
