Shoutout to the lady at Central Market who saved my salmon run
Forgot my cooler bag for a Costco trip last Saturday, grabbed a clean trash bag from the car and lined the cart with it. Everything stayed cold for the 20 minute drive home, no leaks either. Anyone else do the double bag trick or am I just cheap?

Trash bags are a GENIUS move, but the real trick is freezing two water bottles and using those as ice packs. They keep everything cold PLUS you get cold water for the ride home, no melted ice mess at the bottom. I also layer paper towels between the bag and the cart bottom, absorbs any sweat so you don't get that gross wet cardboard smell in your trunk.
