TIL my neighbor's 30 year old rhododendron knew more about our soil than I did
Was chatting with the guy on 238th about why my azaleas keep yellowing, and he just pointed at his giant bush and said 'you're fighting the clay, not the plant.' He showed me how he amended with composted fir bark twice a year, so I tried it on two beds last month. Anyone else around here deal with that heavy clay or is it just my corner of Bothell?
