Changed my mind about booking flights on Tuesday

I used to book flights on Tuesday mornings because everyone said that's when prices drop. After tracking a trip to Mexico City for three months, I saw the cheapest fares actually popped up on Sunday nights. I think airlines adjust prices for the coming week then. Has anyone else found a better day than Tuesday?

Totally bought into the Tuesday myth for years. My own tracking showed Wednesday afternoons were consistently cheaper for my routes. It really seems to depend on the airline and where you're going. All those old travel hacks might be outdated now.

But what if the Tuesday thing still works for some people? I feel like the basic idea of checking midweek is probably still good, even if the exact day changed.
