chose hostels over cheap hotels for my Japan trip. zero regrets.

I was planning a 2 week trip to Tokyo and Osaka and had to pick between a $35/night hotel in Shinjuku or a $22/night hostel dorm. Picked the hostel. Met travelers from 5 countries in the common room my first night. Someone even showed me a ramen spot that cost 600 yen and was better than the tourist places. Anyone else find hostel social life beats having your own room?

Yeah @mark_hernandez12 that's a steal, good ramen for cheap is getting HARD to find everywhere.
