Hostel in Porto charged me extra for a towel, so I brought my own the whole trip

Stayed at a place near the Ribeira district last spring and they wanted 3 euros just to rent a towel, which is wild when you can pick up a cheap one at a local market for less and use it for weeks... Anyone else pack a quick-dry towel specifically to dodge those hostel fees, or do you just pay up?

Three euros just for a towel is insane, I'd be livid. I had a place in Lisbon try to charge me 2.50 and I just used my hoodie to dry off for two days out of pure spite. Now I always pack one of those thin camping towels, they fold down to nothing and I've probably saved like 40 bucks total across trips.
