I noticed flight prices to Lisbon really drop if you book exactly 6 weeks out

I tracked a route for two months and saw tickets go from $850 to $550 right at that mark. It seems like airlines adjust prices based on that specific window. Has anyone else found a sweet spot like this for other destinations?

Yeah, waiting for that last five dollar drop is the worst lol. I check late Tuesday nights, like after 10 PM. Found a flight to Dublin once that was $200 cheaper at midnight than it was at dinner time. No idea why it works, but I just set a phone reminder now.

Ever try tracking prices for a trip you weren't even sure you could take? I did that with Japan last year, checking every day for months just out of curiosity. Watched the fares do this weird dance where they'd spike on weekends and then plummet late on Tuesdays. It got to the point where my browser history was just flight searches.

That six week window is a great find. I tried tracking prices once and got so into it I missed the actual cheap fare because I was waiting for it to drop five more dollars. My own cheapness cost me like a hundred bucks. Do you check prices at a certain time of day too, or just the days out?
