Paid $20 for a luggage scale and it saved me $70 at the Denver airport
I fly maybe 3 times a year and always pack too much stuff. Last month I was heading to Denver for a wedding and my bag was sitting at 52 pounds at home. I grabbed a $20 digital luggage scale off Amazon mostly as a joke, weighed it, and moved two pairs of shoes into my carry on. At the check in counter the agent told the guy next to me his bag was 4 pounds over and it would be $70 to check it. I weighed mine right there and it came in at 49.2. Best $20 I have ever spent on travel gear honestly lol. Does anyone have a scale they actually trust, or do you just wing it and hope for the best?
