PSA: Don't buy a 30-liter backpack for a 2-week trip to Tokyo unless you like doing laundry every 3 days
I landed at Narita with this tiny Osprey bag all proud of myself for packing light. Day 4 I ran out of clean socks and had to wash stuff in my hotel sink using shampoo. Ended up spending $40 at a coin laundry in Shinjuku just to survive the rest of the trip. Anyone else underestimate how much space you actually need for longer trips?

Pub bathrooms for washing boxers? That's a whole new level of dedication.

My buddy did the exact same thing last year for a two week trip to Europe. He was washing boxers in pub bathrooms by day 6 and swore he'd never pack that small again. Now he brings a 45 liter minimum no matter how short the trip is.
