Rant: I swore by booking flights months ahead, but a last-minute deal changed my whole view.
I used to plan everything way in advance, but getting a super cheap flight two days before made me see that being last-minute can save you a lot of money, lol.

Except that's a total gamble every time.

Yeah Jade271 has a point, it's a total gamble. I feel like those crazy last minute deals only pop up when nobody else wants to fly, like a random Tuesday in February. Try finding one for Christmas or summer vacation, the prices are through the roof. Planning ahead still feels safer for anything important.
