Serious question, my $6 airport lunch went from sad to decent once I started packing a little sauce kit
I fly out of O'Hare about once a month for work and for years I just ate whatever sad $14 sandwich was closest to the gate. Six months ago I started stuffing a small zip pouch with those free condiment packets plus a tiny bottle of hot sauce and a shaker of salt and pepper. Now I grab a plain $6 baguette or a cup of rice from the food court and it actually tastes like a meal. Total cost of the pouch was maybe $4 and I've refilled it twice since January. The weird part is the condiments weigh almost nothing so my bag never gets flagged. I keep it in the outer pocket so I don't have to dig at security. Has anyone else built a little food kit like this, and what do you put in yours that I'm missing?
