I was in London last month and wanted to see the British Museum but my wallet was crying (you know the feeling). I ran to the nearest library, asked about it, and they handed me a voucher that got me in for nothing. Has anyone else stumbled onto random local library deals like this on trips?

Huh, I'll be honest, I used to roll my eyes at those forum posts too. Figured it was just people trying to sound clever about a loophole that didn't exist anymore. But then my cousin, who lives in a flat in Camden, tried it last month with his library card from the local branch there. They just printed him a voucher on the spot, no address check or nothing.
