The worst travel day I had in Barcelona last spring

I spent 8 hours stuck at a bus station outside Barcelona because I booked a 15 euro overnight bus that turned into a 3 hour delay. No wifi, no food stalls open, just me and a broken vending machine. Has anyone else learned the hard way that cheap buses can cost you a whole day?

Man that's brutal, but honestly it's part of a bigger thing I've noticed - we always try to save money on the travel part and forget the time and comfort you lose is just as real a cost. A cheap bus ticket looks good on paper but when you're stuck for hours with nothing to do, that 15 bucks doesn't feel like such a win anymore. Sometimes the cheapest option ends up costing you more in the long run, just in different ways.

Right?! That exact thing happened to me with a cheap bus from Malaga to Madrid. @the_miles is totally right, I was so focused on saving the 20 bucks I ended up wasting a whole afternoon sitting in a dusty terminal. That bargain ticket cost me way more than money in the end.
