My buddy Mark used to blow his whole paycheck on dumb stuff like delivery apps. He started using cash envelopes last year for his food and fun money, just two hundred bucks every two weeks. The first time he ran out of cash on a Tuesday and had to eat pasta at home all week, it clicked for him. He said actually seeing the money disappear made him stop and think before buying another round of drinks. Now he's got a real savings account for the first time ever. Funny how the old school way makes things so clear, right?
