Hot take: a $6 notebook at the Dollar Tree in Dayton saved my budget more than any app
About 3 months ago I started writing every single purchase in a cheap spiral notebook I grabbed at the Dollar Tree on Salem Ave in Dayton. Last month I added it all up and found $87 in small snack runs I had no clue about, mostly from the gas station by my place. My phone apps never stuck because I'd ignore the alerts, but flipping a page and seeing the numbers pile up actually stings a little. Has anyone else had better luck with paper than apps, or am I just old school?
